Alexandre Taillefer, Conférencier d’ouverture

Associé principal, depuis 2011, au Fonds XPND, un fonds d’investissement dans les entreprises du secteur de l’électrification des transports, des technologies, des médias et du divertissement disposant de près de 100 millions, Alexandre Taillefer est un entrepreneur en série qui s’est fait connaître publiquement grâce à sa participation à la série télévisée « Dans l’Oeil du Dragon ».

Âgé de 21 ans, il fonde en 1993 Intellia, qui deviendra Nurun, une agence interactive aujourd’hui détenue par Publicis. En 2001, il fonde Hexacto, qui devient en deux ans un leader mondial du jeu mobile, rachetée par Jamdat Mobile, puis par Electronic Arts. En 2007, il cofonde Stingray Digital, une société maintenant publique qui diffuse quotidiennement de la musique dans plus de 100 millions de foyers à travers le monde. Il a fondé en 2015 Téo, une société de taxi toute électrique qui a révolutionné l’industrie.

Il préside de nombreux conseils d’administration notamment ceux de GSM Project, IPerceptions, Communications Voir et Autobus Lion.

Défenseur infatigable de la culture, il préside le conseil d’administration de l’Opéra de Montréal de 1996 à 2012. Il est président du Comité de Pilotage de Montréal Métropole Culturelle. Il est depuis 2012 président du Conseil d’Administration du Musée d’Art Contemporain de Montréal qui connaît depuis une revitalisation importante.

Il signe un chronique mensuelle dans le magazine Voir et n’hésite pas à partager ses idées et sa passion à titre de conférencier.

As managing partner of XPND Capital since 2011, an investment fund for companies in the transportation, technology, media and entertainment sector, with nearly $ 100 million, Alexandre Taillefer is a serial entrepreneur that became known publicly thanks to his participation on the television show « Dans l’Oeil du Dragon ».

At the age of 21, he founded Intellia (1993), which further became Nurun, an interactive agency owned by Publicis. In 2001, he founded Hexacto, which within two years became a world leader in mobile gaming and was bought by Jamdat Mobile and later by Electronic Arts. In 2007, he co-founded Stingray Digital, a public company that broadcasts music daily in more than 100 million households around the world. He founded Téo in 2015, an all-electric taxi company that revolutionized the industry.

He chairs on numerous boards including GSM Project, IPerceptions, Communications Voir and Lion Buses.

A tireless advocate of culture, he was a member of the board of directors of the Opéra de Montréal from 1996 to 2012. He is chairman of the Steering Committee of Montréal, Cultural Metropolis. Since 2012, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art, which has since undergone a major revitalization.

He also pens a socially engaged column for the newly revamped monthly publication Voir and does not hesitate to share his ideas and his passion as a speaker.
